Dana Frederick White Jr. is an American businessman. He is also the current President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) which is also the largest mixed martial arts organization in the world. UFC has grown into a globally popular multi-billion-dollar enterprise under White’s leadership.
Dana White Early Life and Family
Dana White was born on 28 July 1969 in Manchester, Connecticut, US. His father’s name id Dana White Sr. and his mother is June White. June White released the book Dana White, King of MMA: An Unauthorised Biography in 2011. In the book, she claimed that since White’s success with the UFC he has turned his back to family and friends who supported him when he needed them
White also has a sister named Kelly. White is of the Irish-American descent. White and his sister were mostly raised by their mother and her family during their childhood. Though White was raised as a Catholic he considers himself an atheist.
Dana White spent many of his early years in Ware, Massachusetts.

Dana White married Anne Stella in 1996. White and Stella met for the first time in the eighth grade. They have three children, two sons named Dana III and Aidan and a daughter named Savannah. Since White values his privacy he keeps his wife and kids out of the public spotlight.

Dana White did his schooling from Hermon High School in Maine. He graduated from school in 1987. White was 17 when he started boxing.
White joined college twice. Once he joined Quincy College, Massachusetts and second time he joined the University of Massachusetts Boston. But he dropped out of college during his first semester each time. Then he worked as a boxercise coach.

Dana White met Bob Meyrowitz, the owner of Semaphore Entertainment Group while he was working as a manager for mixed martial artists, Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell. Semaphore Entertainment Group is the parent company of UFC. White got to know that Meyrowitz was looking to sell UFC. So he contacted his childhood friend Lorenza Fertitta, an executive and co-founder of Station Casinos to asf if he was interested In acquiring the company. Lorenza and his elder brother Frank acquired UFC for $2 million in January 2001. It subsequently became a subsidiary of sports promotion company, Zuffa. White was made the company’s President. Over time UFC developed into a highly successful business under White’s presidency. In 2015 its gross revenue was $600 million.
Zuffa was sold for $4.025 billion to a consortium of investors led by Endeavor Group Holdings (then known as William Morris Endeavor Entertainment) in July 2016. White was given a stake in the new business and he announced that he will continue his role as the President.
UFC in May 2017 announced that Dana White would host Dana White’s Contender Series, available exclusively through UFC Fight Pass. UFC Fight Pass is the promotion’s digital streaming service and licensed separately from the UFC brand. The show allows up and coming fighters a chance to show their talent in hope that they may get to compete in UFC.
As UFC signed a deal with ESPN, White revealed on 18 March 2019 that he had signed a new seven-year contract to remain the President of UFC.
Dana White entered the boxing scene by co-promoting the Floyd Mayweather Jr vs. Conor McGregor. The reason for this was that McGregor was contracted to the UFC.
At the Freddie Roach’s Wild Card West boxing club, in October 2017 White said that he was “getting into boxing 100 per cent”. White also said that he wants to incorporate boxing into the company profile of UFC.

Dana White’s net worth is estimated to be $500 million. He gets 9%of UFC’s profit.
In 2006 White bought a mansion in pine Island Court, Las Vegas from Frank Fertitta III for $1.95 million. From October 2016 to June 2017, White bought three more mansions in the same area for a combined total of $6.2 million. Demolition permits were also issued for the houses, presumably to create a mega-mansion for White and his family.
In the season 15 episode of Pawn Stars, originally airing on 5 February 2018 on History Channel, White purchased Katana swords worth over $60,000. These swords also included a sword of one of Rick Harrison’s (American businessman) 16th century Japanese Katana.
