Durga Puja is one of the most widely celebrated and popular festivals in India. Especially in West Bengal, men and women believe in the goddess Durga a lot.

So in this small blog post, we will talk about Durga Puja 2020 Date that is just about to come.

As we know that Durga Puja is celebrated between Shashti and Dussehra, the dates keep on changing every year depending on some facts.

So what’s Durga Puja 2020 Date?

This year, the Durga Puja 2020 Date is 22nd October 2020 to 26th October 2020.

There’s another important date to be considered before the start of Durga Puja, and that is for Mahalaya.

This is important because, on the day of Mahalaya, we invite the goddess Durga on earth by drawing her eyes on the idols.

Normally, we see Mahalaya happening a week before the Durga Puja, but this year, it’s 35 days before the Durga Puja.

Now, what that mean?

So it’s before 35 days of Durga Puja because of a rare situation called Mala Mash which is a lunar month with two new moons.

Such months aren’t considered auspicious so that’ the reason why we will have Mahalaya on 17th September 2020.
